Class Descriptions

Yoga:

This is a low intensity beginners yoga class designed to slowly introduce students to postures and breath work. Yoga will teach students how to release stress and tension throughout the body, as well as work on stretching and dynamic muscle strength. Yoga is a holistic approach to living and a lifelong journey.

Pilates on the Ball:

Pilates on the ball is a beginner level class that will focus on combining balance and physical posture while strengthening the back and abdominal muscles.  The pilates portion of the class will work to lengthen the body through dance style floor work.

Core Yoga Conditioning:

This yoga class is designed for the person who needs a little extra “umph” in their workout routine.  This is a medium/high intensity class that will consist of specific breathwork and postures to balance the body and strengthen our “power house.”

Butts and Gutts:

Butts and gutts is a class designed to reshape the glutes and abdomen without adding the bulk.  We use specific exercises to target specific muscle groups to give shape and definition to the body.  Props used in this class consist of exer-tubes and/or dumbbells

Upper Body Blast:

With the use of both tubes and weights to create different forms of resistance we can achieve a beautiful and sculpted upper body.  The focus of this class will be on areas such as the tricep, bicep, chest and shoulders.  We will work to help our students strengthen their upper body and even get rid of that “jiggle” under the arms.

Mini Total Body:

This 40 minute class is designed to keep your heart strong while working in short bursts to strengthen the body from head to toe.  Set up as an interval circuit students will begin with a twelve minute warm up to energize the body, then during circuit training instructors will demonstrate how to utilize new equipment such as jump rope, step, fitness balls and hula hoops to help maximize benefits. 

HABIT:

This wonderful toning class is designed to give it’s students the beautiful hips, abs, buns and incredible thighs they crave without adding bulk to the body.  Exercises are used to not only build up muscle but also to lengthen the muscles, many of which are used by gymnasts and dancers.
